Vintage 1920s–1930 California hand-tinted scenic photograph and ephemera lot, found together with original period Union Oil Company of California materials from Los Angeles.
The lot includes three large scenic photographs featuring a mountain lake landscape, flowering yucca plants, and an ocean sunset. The photographs show beautiful hand-applied tinting/coloring characteristic of early 20th-century photographic work.
Also included are the original period papers/envelope associated with the photographs. The envelope is printed:

The Union Oil stationery bears a 1926 form date, and the envelope is handwritten “Tinted Photos.” Period handwritten information includes Mrs. Harriet McKenna – Nov. 20, 1926, as well as Mrs. S.P. McKenna, 1601 N. Ave. 54 and Jan. 1930.
One photograph also contains an unidentified period negative/catalog marking within the image. Photographer is currently unknown.
The photographs measure approximately 10 inches at their longest dimension; please see photos with measuring tape for exact measurements.
All items show age-related wear consistent with their age, including toning, discoloration, marks, edge/corner wear, bends and other imperfections. The Union Oil paper materials are particularly fragile and show significant tears, losses and deterioration. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
The photographs and Union Oil materials were found together and are being offered together as one lot. No claim is being made that Union Oil commissioned or produced the photographs.
