Antique 1922 Schoolgirl Handwritten Diary – School Days Series Pocket Notebook
Charming original early 1920s school notebook containing handwritten diary-style entries documenting the everyday experiences of a young student.
The illustrated cover reads School Days Series, No. 132, Pocket Note Book, and features two schoolchildren, a school building, and musical notation from the familiar song “School Days.”
Approximately half of the notebook’s pages contain original handwritten entries in pencil.
The writing includes accounts of school activities, friendships, social outings, personal experiences, and a junior-senior banquet. One visible entry is dated June 21, 1922.
An especially interesting detail is a small piece of dark fabric with an orange strip stapled to one of the handwritten pages, apparently retained as a personal keepsake.
A wonderful surviving glimpse into the daily life and experiences of an American student during the early 1920s.
Condition: Antique condition with age-related toning, cover wear, handling marks, and some creasing. Approximately half the pages are handwritten; the remainder are largely unused. The attached fabric keepsake remains in place. Please examine photographs for details.
An appealing piece of original American school history, personal writing, and early 20th-century ephemera.
