1925 Cantilever Shoe Salesmanship Certificate Diploma Antique Framed Wax Seal
An original trade diploma dated September 8, 1925, certifying completion of the Cantilever Shoe Salesmanship and Service training program.
The certificate reads in part that H. K. Stewart "has satisfactorily completed the standard training course in Cantilever Shoe Salesmanship and Service, conducted under the auspices and direction of the Morse and Burt Company by the Business Training Corporation, and is qualified to give skilled assistance and advice in selecting and fitting footwear."
The award date of September 8, 1925, makes the document 100 years old in 2025.
Two official press seals appear at the lower portion of the certificate.
On the left is a red seal bearing the approval of the Morse and Burt Company, signed by its President.
On the right is a gold seal representing the Business Training Corporation, signed by its President.
The certificate features an elaborate engraved decorative border in blue and gray tones spanning all four sides.
Text is printed in a combination of formal Gothic and script lettering consistent with commercial trade certificates of the 1920s.
Cantilever Shoe was a nationally known American footwear brand of the early 20th century, recognized for its comfort-focused design.
Housed in a wood frame with a cream-colored mat.
The frame measures approximately 12 inches wide by 10 inches tall.
Sourced from the complete liquidation of Hollywood Cinema Arts Inc. at 8110 Webb Ave., North Hollywood, CA 91605, a major supplier to the film, television, and commercial industries from 1988 until its recent closure.

The certificate has overall age toning throughout the paper, expected for a 100-year-old document.
The decorative border and all text remain fully legible.
Both press seals appear intact.
