The colorful illustrated cover shows two boxers in the ring beneath U.S. and “U.S. Scouting Fleet” flags. Interior program lists fleet leadership, including Vice Admiral A. H. Robertson, Captain R. Z. Johnston, and Lt.-Comdr. J. B. W. Waller, followed by boxing bouts between sailors from USS Florida, USS Wright, USS Concord, USS Vestal, and VT-9S.
A standout interwar Navy athletic “smoker” program, printed with bottom line “USS From the YN2 Robert “Dinty” Moore USS Concord / USS Whitney archive. Moore served aboard USS Whitney and USS Concord, giving this piece strong period naval provenance. Scarce surviving fleet sports ephemera with direct USS Concord, USS Wyoming, USS Vestal, and Guantanamo Bay association.
Condition: Original paper program with age toning, light soiling, handling wear, small stains, fold/crease wear, and minor edge/corner wear as shown. Displays well.
