This photograph is from a collection belonging to a Japanese American family living in California circa 1900s to 1940s. I imagined this was a Japanese setting - but it may be taken in China and related tothe National Revolutionary Army. There are the belongings of dead soldiers gathered at the men's feet ~including caps and a rifle with attached bayonet. Text on the lower section of card should reveal the true story.
