1930s Patriotic George Washington Birthday Hatchet I Can Not Tell a Lie Fan Rare For Sale

This is an antique C1930s Patriotic George Washington Birthday Cherry Tree Hatchet I Can Not Tell a Lie Parade Fan-Rare. I believe this may date to George Washington’s Birthday Bicentennial in the 1930s. The piece is long and measures 15” and the fan 6.5” in diameter. The material is primarily paper with the hatchet handle simulated wood cardboard with the “I Can Not Tell a Lie” hatchet made of cardboard as well. The patriotic stars and stripes paper fan originally folded back down into the hatchet handle by pushing on the wood spoke at the fan’s top. But it may be too delicate to do now. I have not tried. The piece is in excellent condition with no tears, holes, or rips to the fan. The fan/hatchet will come with the pictured (glass lid) display box lined with red felt. The box is heavy and accounts for the shipping weight and will protect the fan during transport. It is also a great way to display this very unusual patriotic item in your collection. I have never seen another.
