The Chicago, Milwauke & Gary Railroad (CM&G) was an Illinois short-line that never served its three named cities. Formed in 1908 from a merger of other lines, the railroad had two disconnected sections - Rockford to Aurora, and Joliet to Delmar. The two segments were connected through trackage rights on the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railroad. The Milwaukee Railroad acquired the CM&G in 1930; much of it has since been abandoned. For sale is a rare capital stock from the CM&G foe 9,993 shares and dated September 4, 1935. The stock measures appx 12x9 inches and is printed on mid-weight paper. Stapled to be back is the stock's transfer certificate. This stock is in very good condition, with no rips or tears.
