This button reads \"Contributor - Labor Temple Fund, 1936\" and features an image of the building associated with Rochester\'s decades-long effort to build a dedicated union headquarters and social center. The campaign to fund this \"Labor Temple\" ran from before WWI through the Depression era, supported by union stock sales, dances, bazaars, and raffles organized by the Central Trades and Labor Council. This button was likely issued to someone who contributed to that fund.

The button also carries small logos for the Allied Printing Trades Union Label Council of Rochester, NY and the I.P.E.U. (International Printing/Pressmen\'s & Employees\' Union). The reverse is stamped \"Bastian Bros. Co., Rochester, N.Y.\" — a manufacturer that\'s been producing pinback buttons and awards since the 1890s and remains in business today.

A great find for collectors of labor history, union memorabilia, Rochester/Western NY local history, or antique advertising pins. Ships securely in protective packaging.
