Venice...has to be one of the most beautiful parts of Italy. My last visit was in the summer of 2016, and, while summers in Venice are extremely hot, if you plan properly you can enjoy the visit. If you visit, I highly recommend taking a small water taxi from the airport, if you fly in, versus the larger public water transports. It may cost a little more, but you have a more pleasurable ride going into Venice. If you take the train, the Venice station is centrally located along the Grande Canal, and the commercial water taxi stops right at the station. You can get around Venice via the water taxi at a very reasonable cost. There are some excellent AirBNB landlords in Venice, and we stayed on the Grande Canal for less than $150 a night, and you save money buying groceries at the local mart (which is a cultural experience). Do your research! Highly recommended that you see St. Mark\'s plaza, which is easily accessible via the water taxi. With the current pandemic, it may be a while before you can visit, but do your research, and if you get a chance, a forayto Venice is an experience you\'ll never forget!!!
