Vintage c1940 Provident Hospital(Chicago) enameled 10K solid gold service pin. Awarded to Emmette Harris. The pin measures approx. 1\" x 3/4\" and weighs 4.1 grams. The pin is in good condition with no enamel loss. There are some tiny green spots on the white enamel that looks like something may have splashed on it at some point. Not a big deal. Founded in 1891 Provident Hospital was the first hospital in the U.S. to be run by African Americans. Please enlarge all pics for best details. Great collectible.
