Original World War II era real photo postcard showing the Diesel Motor Building used by the U.S. Naval Training School at Iowa State College, Ames, Iowa. The view shows the brick training building and water tower, with a handwritten note across the top reading, “This is where we are getting our training,” and a lower-margin caption, “Diesel Motor Bldg. U.S.N.T.S. Iowa State College Ames, Ia.” The postcard dates to approximately 1942–1944 and features the EKC wartime stamp box on the back. The card is an unused RPPC.
Condition:
Good condition with light handling wear and mild surface soiling. Corners show slight rounding and toning from age. The image remains clear with legible handwritten notation and caption. The reverse is unused with light age spotting and the EKC stamp box visible.
