1940s New York City Souvenir Photo Holder – Mike’s Ship‑A‑Hoy Restaurant – Original Photo
Original 1940s souvenir photo holder from Mike’s Ship‑A‑Hoy, located at Broadway & 66th Street and Columbus Avenue & 66th Street in New York City. The holder features charming nautical‑themed artwork including “Visit Mike’s Yacht Bar” and the restaurant’s compass‑rose logo. The phone number SU.squehanna 7‑8926 is printed on the front — a wonderful period detail.
The holder measures 8.5 x 6.5 inches when closed.The top right corner is bent, and the bottom right corner has a lighter bend. There are a few small stains inside on the picture “frame.” The paper stock is slightly heavier than typical souvenir photo folders of the era, giving it a more substantial feel.
The original black‑and‑white photo inside — showing three diners at a table — is in excellent condition with crisp detail and no visible damage.
