This is a beautiful, highly collectible mid-century vintage tri-fold cardboard hand fan distributed to American tourists visiting Monterrey, Mexico.
Front Illustration: Features a vibrant, classic Western scene depicting a cowboy on a bucking horse riding alongside a steer. The design is heavily reminiscent of iconic mid-century rodeo artists like Tillman Goodan.
Reverse Content: Features promotional text for Salvador Valdez "The Low Prices Shop" (Valdez Curio Shop), located at Hidalgo 323 Ote. in Monterrey, just blocks from the historic Gran Hotel Ancira.
Key Historical Feature: The reverse acts as a highly functional Currency Exchange Rate Table converting Mexican Pesos to U.S. Dollars.
Markings: Marked with a production stamp reading "32-B / 2894-B / IMPRESO EN MEXICO".
Condition: Good vintage condition with crisp graphics, functional metal grommets, minimal edge wear, and clean card stock as shown in photos, however there is a tear at the top as shown in the photos.
