Stage Coach Days in California by Arthur Woodward, published by the Los Angeles County Museum in 1951 as History No. 11 in its Leaflet Series.
An illustrated historical pamphlet devoted to the development of stagecoach transportation in California during the 19th century. Woodward discusses early California stage routes, the California Stage Company, the Butterfield Overland Mail, transcontinental transportation, stage drivers and the gradual decline of horse-drawn stage service with the expansion of the railroad and automobile.
Illustrated with period-style drawings including the Concord Overland Coach of the 1850s–60s and the Overland Mail Wagon, or “Mud-Wagon.” An appealing piece of California and Western Americana, particularly for collectors of stagecoach, transportation, Gold Rush-era or Overland Mail history.

The pamphlet shows expected age and handling wear, including toning, scattered spotting/foxing and surface soiling, along with light edge and corner wear.
