Authentic 1956 SCCA National Road Races Official Program from the historic weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI (June 20-24, 1956). This foundational event marked the very first year of what would become the legendary annual June Sprints.
CRITICAL COLLECTOR NOTE: This copy comes complete with the original, separate, laid-in folded paper insert. This loose sheet features the official race entry lists of drivers/cars alongside a promotional feature on the futuristic General Motors Firebird II gas-turbine concept car. Because these inserts were loose, most were lost, discarded, or heavily written on at the track—finding one in this condition is incredibly rare.
Separate Insert: Like New. Crisp edges, no tears, no handwriting, no track-side scoring, and beautiful color preservation.
Main Program: Good. The softcover booklet features a stapled binding that is secure. Expected age-related wear on the covers, edges, and corners. Pages are clean and free of major staining, slight wear from handling/use. Includes fantastic mid-century automotive ads, including the famous M.G.A. center spread.
