Here is an original "Mayweg" aluminum FRONT carrier rack which fits most any vintage bike with 26" wheels but is correct for your early 1960s Schwinn middleweight bike such as your Schwinn Corvette, Jaguar, (Mark II, IV, V etc) Panther, Typhoon, Fair Lady, Starlet, Hollywood etc.
This is a great idea to have on your bike to carry things while your hands are safely on the handlebars where they belong.This top base of rack itself is approx 11 1/2" long by 6" wide. The legs are approx 1 6" long. (there is lots of curves so its a little tricky to measure but this is off a 26" bike) BE SURE to compare to be sure this will work for you before you offer.

Whoever designed this was intelligent in doing so. Has the Schwinn stamped mount on top. These are COOL and harder to find than you think!This can make a good bike look GREAT! This stuff is what sets your bike apart from the rest. Keep your hands safely on the handlebars where they belong and still be able to carry items! Will look even better with the chrome polished! These are AWESOME and the real SCHWINN versions RARELY come along! DO NOT MISS OUT!

It shows obvious age, but will look cool on your un restored, original bike, or restore it for show. These are harder to find than you think.
