Taken out of the play by the Philadelphia Phillies\' West Covington, shortstop Denny Menke of the Braves was unable to throw to first base for a double play on Clay Dairymple\'s bounder in the second inning at County Stadium Saturday. Covington, who had led off with a single, was forced at second on second baseman Frank Bolling\'s throw to Menke. Joe Torre was the Braves\' first baseman and Peanuts Lowrey (3) the Phillies\' coach.
