Original hand-inked, hand-painted production animation cel from the color remake of a 1930s cartoon, sold by Gallery Lainzberg c. 1978.
A rubbery, wide-eyed character in a spiked turban with a tassel, slashed doublet, and striped bloomers, caught mid-kick. Colors are bright and the ink lines are crisp. The cel is trimmed to the figure and mounted on gray paper under glass, in a blue wood frame with a white mat and gold liner.
Frame measures 14.5" x 12"
The back has the original Gallery Lainzberg (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) certificate of authenticity, catalog #10, signed, along with the gold embossed gallery seal and the 1978 cel info sticker.
Good vintage condition. The backing paper has age toning and some staining. The cel has not been removed from the frame. Character and cartoon are not identified, so please review all photos.
