This is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage 1970s ceramic owl planter. This specific piece features its original foil sticker intact on the base reading "Parma by AAI Made in Japan."
Historical Note for Collectors:
This identical, whimsical Japanese ceramic mold was heavily distributed and sold through luxury Neiman Marcus department stores during the 1970s. Finding it with the original Parma by AAI distributor label provides an excellent piece of authentic mid-century manufacturing history!
The planter features a textured, unglazed terracotta body mimicking a basket-weave pattern, beautifully contrasted by a glossy white glazed face and wing accents. The oversized, glazed black eyes give it that iconic retro look. It is perfectly sized for small houseplants, succulents, or artificial floral arrangements.

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition! No chips, cracks, damage or repairs. The unglazed terracotta and glazed sections show normal light aging and shelf wear characteristic of vintage pottery. The interior shows minor signs of previous use/light soil residue. The original manufacturer's sticker on the base is intact and legible.
