1979 SCHWINN FAIR LADY STINGRAY BANANA SEAT MUSCLE BIKE LIL CHIK S7 BLUE VINTAGE For Sale

Here is a rare original Feb 1979 SCHWINN Stingray Fair Lady 20" banana seat muscle bike! (BQ Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!)

*The bike is in the original and very appealing Radiant Blue with white factory painted color. The bike has cool wide apehanger handlebars, matching Schwinn hand grips, Schwinn rear sissy bar, block reflector pedals, super cool factory, Schwinn color matched front and rear fenders and so much more ! I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! The original screen chainguard is in place! The bike is an ORIGINAL 1-speed with coaster style brakes. I LOVE the Schwinn flowered banana seat! The rims are chrome Schwinn S7 rims with a Bendix hub. The tires are slightly newer replacement 20x1 3/4” " tires and do hold air.

I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

*NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically just like you see it. This bike is a local barn find from long term storage. It would need a complete restoration from top to bottom for show or enjoy it in its unrestored patina.  I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint!  (has chips scratches top bar wear age etc) Most of these were destroyed within a few years of them being new) The chrome is shiny but shows age and patina. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). A great bike to ride or display. *Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.

*SHIPPING TIME I ship bikes on Tuesdays and Fridays via Fed Ex. Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment. If I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Thursday, it gives enough time to have it packed and ship Friday AM. If paid after that time, please expect it to go out with the next shipment.

*SHIPPING COSTS: Fed Ex, USPS, as well as UPS have recently raised their shipping rates due to the higher cost of fuel. Sorry for the slight increase in shipping costs.
