Beautiful vintage 1990 Russian Kholui Miniature collector plate titled “Song of Love” (Песня любви) by noted Kholui artist Sergey Devyatkin (Сергей Девяткин).
This highly detailed porcelain plate depicts a richly colored scene inspired by the Russian tale of the Snow Maiden, featuring traditional Russian architecture, figures in elaborate costume, a moonlit landscape and ornate gold border.
“Song of Love” is the fourth plate in the collectible series “The Tale of the Snow Maiden.” According to the extensive Russian inscription on the reverse, this was the official edition of Devyatkin’s work and the edition was limited to 195 firing days.
