1994 Disney The Lion King Original Movie Theater Lobby Standee Pride Rock For Sale

Condition: Vintage displayed condition with notable wear. Main stage/backboard has damage along a fold/seam including tearing/fraying and surface wear/spotting. Several tabs and character pieces also show creasing, bends and age-related wear. Please review all photos carefully. Original box and assembly instructions are included.

The good news is that the main “Walt Disney Pictures Presents The Lion King” backboard looks structurally intact, with the original fold lines and assembly slots still visible. The artwork is still strong and colorful, and I’m not seeing a giant missing section or catastrophic tear.

Visible age/storage wear: there are some surface scuffs and rub marks, wear along the center fold/seam and bottom edge, plus spotting/discoloration on the blue section.

Good vintage/displayed condition with expected age, assembly and storage wear; some creasing, edge wear, tab wear, scuffs and surface spotting/staining.

The instruction sheet identifies it specifically as a Walt Disney Pictures “THE LION KING” Lobby Display, and the large printed backboard says “June 24 At Theatres Everywhere.” That ties it to the original 1994 theatrical release, not the later VHS promotion. Your original carton marked “THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY ‘LION KING’ STANDEE” strengthens that identification considerably.

The instructions are especially useful because they list the major pieces: backboard, easel supports, base supports, Pride Rock structure/panels, character pieces including Scar, Hyenas, Pumbaa/Timon, Nala/Rafiki and Simba, plus a grass cross-support.

This set is believed to be complete.
