This black and white banded agate (historically called onyx when the bands are strictly parallel) from Brazil is a microcrystalline quartz (chalcedony) characterized by alternating dark and light layers. When it forms with clear quartz, it refers to transparent crystalline pockets inclusions within the stone. This sphere would make a perfect addition to your collection or as a gift. :) The sphere will come with a free stand for immediate display. :)
