2010 MARVEL 70TH ANNIVERSARY - #51 - 1988 - PSA 9 Wolverine For Sale

Marvel Zombies, Wolverine's claws are basically doing all the talking on this one, front and center, mid-snarl, and looking exactly like a man who's had enough of everyone's nonsense. This card represents 1988 in Marvel's 70th Anniversary set, a year that gave us Wolverine's own solo series launch and, in a wild bit of superhero trivia, the first full appearance of Venom over in Amazing Spider-Man #300, both name-checked right on the back. Graded PSA 9 MINT, this is about as clean as this piece of Wolverine history gets. Anniversary sets like this one do a great job of packaging genuine comic milestones into collectible form, and 1988 was too big a year for Marvel not to earn its own card.
