I am offering a private collection of tobacco cards, you can be sure that all cards i am selling are authentic cards producedbefore 1945. A few cards, postcards every week in October and November.
This lot is for 25 Chinese girls with Domino inset by Mitsui Japan issued around 1905. Should be that early as later there were no more Japanese cigarette cards i think.A nationalized tobacco monopoly first established by the Government of Japan in 1898 to secure tax revenue collections from tobacco leaf sales. In 1904, the government's leaf monopoly was extended completely to take over all tobacco business operations in the nation, including all manufactured tobacco products such as cigarettes.
Standard size 39 x 69 mm. Very good condition on front, a few good with light wear, but all cards have a mounting damage on the back. Super rare issue !
