Several clues on the back and sides pinpoint this manufacturing timeframe:
• The Painted Board Material: The backings are constructed from smooth, machine-milled plywood or composite craft wood boards. These boards are uniform in thickness, cleanly squared on the corners, and finished in a matte off-white industrial latex/alkyd paint common to mid-century home accessories.
• The Hanger Design: The top metal tabs feature standard machine-stamped shapes and uniform punch holes typical of mid-century hardware manufacturing. They are secured with standard flat-head metal screws countersunk mechanically into the wood.
• The Remnant Labels: The small, round yellow adhesive stickers on the reverse are typical price tag or inventory labels from 20th-century estate sales, antique mall booths, or vintage decor boutiques.
A wonderful collection of early Dutch ceramics, Biblical art, and antique European decorative tiles.
