Up for sale is a fantastic historical trio of antique clear glass pharmacy bottles originating from various historic towns across Vermont.
This collection offers a wonderful glimpse into late 19th and early 20th-century medicine and industrial history.
Included in this lot: Chas H Parmelee, Corner Drug Store (Wilmington, VT): Features a highly rare, intact, and legible original paper prescription label. The handwritten script documents a medical prescription for "Holland Gin" with the classic instructions "Use as directed.
"Old Corner Drug Store - W.H. Wheeler & Son (Springfield, VT): A classic rectangular paneled apothecary bottle with sharp, raised embossed text on the face. Features a hand-tooled lip and includes a vintage cork stopper.
Vermont Marble Co. Drug Department (Proctor, VT): A scarce historical bottle embossed directly for the medical division of the world-famous Vermont Marble Company, which managed its own town infrastructure and employee care in Proctor. The bottom looks like it says F F & CO.
Condition:All three bottles are in excellent antique condition with no cracks or major structural chips. The glass shows beautiful period-correct character, including minor natural bubbles and slight cloudiness consistent with age and ground-burial or long-term storage.
The paper label on the Wilmington bottle shows expected age toning and light edge wear but remains completely intact and legible
