SATC diamond stone do not need water or oil during the sharpening process - Put a little pressure, moving back and forward evenly. No need to put much pressure
- Place the knife on the diamond surface and keep an angle for 15~20°. Move back and forward for several times, then change the other side of the knife and repeat the same process
- Start with 400 first and repeat on the 1000 side. 400 and 600 grit for repairing large indentation, removing rough edges, and consolidating the blade. 1000 grit for removing burrs, polishing and smoothing edges

Dry or Wet: Can be used dry, but we recommend a splash of water to help clear debris. No expensive honing oil required!Break-in Period: Brand new diamond plates may feel "aggressive." This is normal. Gently rub with a piece of scrap steel for 30 seconds to smooth out the surface before sharpening fine knives. Care: Wipe clean and dry thoroughly after use to prevent rust.
