3rd Special Forces Group 3rd Battalion Command Team Challenge Coin Excellence

⭐ KEY FEATURES

• 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), 3rd Battalion command recognition design with LTC and CSM insignia

• “Presented For Excellence” reverse with Special Forces, Ranger, Airborne, and SF crest elements

• Hard-to-find open-ring command coin with raised relief, multi-color enamel, and antiqued silver-tone finish

📌 DESCRIPTION

This 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), 3rd Battalion challenge coin represents a command-level recognition piece with strong appeal for serious Special Forces and SOF collectors. Its open-ring profile, oversized central shield, crossed-arrow construction, and command insignia give this example a much more specialized presentation than a standard round unit coin.

One side identifies 3rd Battalion and 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) around a bold four-quadrant shield dominated by a raised numeral “3.” The yellow, red, white, and black enamel fields create sharp contrast against the antiqued silver-tone framework, while the crossed arrows reinforce the Special Forces visual identity.

The opposite side carries the inscription “Presented For Excellence” beneath the central shield. A lieutenant colonel oak leaf and command sergeant major rank insignia appear above the Special Forces, Ranger, and Airborne tabs, with the SF crest positioned below. The outer inscription, “Hard Times Don’t Last, But Hard Men Do,” completes the command-recognition presentation.

🧭 CONDITION & PHOTO NOTES

This 3rd Special Forces Group 3rd Battalion command coin retains bright yellow, red, white, black, and green enamel, well-defined raised insignia and lettering, an even antiqued silver-tone finish, and light surface and edge wear visible in the photos. The open-ring construction and raised shield remain cleanly defined, with minor marks from prior handling and display.

The layered shield, crossed-arrow framework, engraved lettering, and relief details remain visually strong from both sides and retain excellent display presence.

As with most pre-owned collectible challenge coins, light evidence of handling, display, storage, or age may be present. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and provide the best representation of the exact coin you will receive.

📸 Photos are taken under high-intensity lighting to highlight fine details, sculpting, and finish. This lighting may reveal minor surface characteristics that are often less noticeable during normal display.
