40’s Hawaiian Heliconia & Banana Leaf Hollywood Regency Barkcloth Vintage Fabric For Sale

This offering is for ONE rare and fantabulous pattern of prized hawaiann barkcloth with a rare airbrush style design Mae popular in the early 40’s thru early 50’s. I have TWO of these precious relics available sold individually. A huge compilation of banana leaves with striking heliconia flowers...as if you were transported from anywhere in the world to Oahu or Waikiki...or South Beach Miami circa 1944 when these outrageous designs were used to supply the feverish design skillset of Miami Beach hotels. You can imagine a pair of cocktail chairs upholstered in this pattern beside a lobby jadeite talked fireplace so popular on a chilly Miami nights in the 40’s. This timeless treasure comes directly from my premier pillow design collection of textiles...the special ones I keep around for exclusive designing projects...and this one...well...clinch your bladders...is UNPARALLELED to anything else...embodying a spirit of Hollywood...Miami Beach...Hawaii...all in one pattern and colorway...for those of us who have obsessed on this stuff...who know the patterns...the colorways...what has been sold out and what is still around...and this one...always premier...always much better than the rest...with a all encompassing beauty that stands tall against the rest.
