9\"x16\" Antique Coronet Porcelain English Setter Hunting Dog Large Figurine 1930s For Sale

The figure measures an impressive approximately 16 inches long and 9 inches high, making it a substantial display piece. The dog is beautifully modeled with long pendant ears, a feathered tail, textured coat and carefully defined facial features. Its cream-white body is decorated with warm brown and tan markings, complemented by a glossy black nose and expressive painted eyes.

The underside bears the distinctive Coronet registered trademark, consisting of a crown surrounded by a laurel wreath and the wording “TRADE MARK – CORONET – REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.”

The Coronet trademark was associated with George Borgfeldt & Co. of New York, an important American importer and distributor of European decorative ceramics. Historical research indicates that Borgfeldt commissioned Coronet-branded ceramics from multiple European manufacturers, including factories in Germany, Czechoslovakia, France and Britain. Because this example does not carry a separate country or factory mark, its precise European manufacturer and country of origin remain unidentified.

The style, Coronet trademark and construction are consistent with early-to-mid 20th-century production, likely circa 1920s–1940s.
