These are the first design of the Afghan parachutist badge (Type 1), from the Kingdom of Afghanistan which existed from approximately 1964-1973. There are 3 eras of parachutist badges from Afghanistan: Type 1 from the Kingdom of Afghanistan, Type 2 from the Republic of Afghanistan and Type 3 from the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
