• Physical description and condition:

The glass bottle is in excellent condion. No cracks; no scratches.The green paper tax label is still in place on the top of the metal cap; the bottle has been used and is EMPTY so the part of the paper tax strip that would seal the cap was torn away when the cap was opened. The paper label on the front \"Special Old Reserve\" has a piece missing from the top and the lower right corner--SEE PHOTOS. The paper label on the back of the bottle, \"The American Medicinal Company\" and \"Harry E. Wilken\" bottler, and the warning label \"Caution Notice\" are most intact with three corners missing small pieces--SEE PHOTOS.

• Producer: Distilled in Kentucky by Harry E. Wilken at Distillery No. 368 (historically known as the Elk Run Distillery).
• Bottler: Bottled by The American Medicinal Spirits Company at Distillery Bonded Warehouse No. 19. AMS Co. was one of a select few companies granted a federal permit to bottle and distribute warehouse stocks of whiskey for medicinal purposes during Prohibition.
• Specifications: 100 Proof, 1 Pint volume, featuring a distinctive diagonally ribbed amber glass flask style.
• Vintage History: Based on standard historical records for this specific label, the liquid inside was typically distilled in the Fall of 1917 (pre-Prohibition) and aged for 15 years in bond before being bottled in the Fall of 1932, right before the repeal of Prohibition.
