I will be listing a variety of nice Antique and Vintage Items this week.______________________________
Here is a Rare ANTIQUE FRENCH SECRET PLAYING CARDS STORAGE BOX MADE FROM 18THC LEATHER BOOKS. This was retailed by the historic AU BON MARCHE department store in Paris, with partial original label inside front cover. Box is made from \"De La Lecture des Livers Francois\"(1783) and \"Voyage Du Jeune Anacharsis\" (Vol.1). They measure 7-11/16\" x 5-1/8\". The box contains what looks like original French bridge game scoring pad (partially apart and missing), with double compartment at bottom for two decks of playing cards (note: I\'ve shown box with a deck of playing cards inside just to show you size of compartment- playing cards NOT included with the box). Condition: Overall good condition as you see it. There is a chipped piece of leather at top of the spine on top book which looks to have been reattached in its history. Scarce item.
