The Aladdin Brass Wick Cleaner is a specialized tool designed for maintaining and cleaning the wicks on Aladdin brand kerosene lamps and lanterns. Made of durable solid brass, it has a cylindrical shape with a diameter of around 7/8 inch to fit precisely over the wick tube on Aladdin burners. Its primary purpose is to trim and smooth the top of the exposed wick by pushing down and rotating the cleaner clockwise. This helps ensure an even burn for optimal lighting performance. The wick cleaner also serves to clean out any charred wick material or debris that may accumulate inside the wick tube flange over time.
