Standing approx 6.75”x5.5” no chips or cracks.
It was purchased in 1995 in Ganado, AZ
Alice is considered one of the most influential Navajo potters in the past 25 years. Shown in the vice presidential mansion in Washington DC and the Smithsonian.
The pots are coiled from clay found near the Black Mesa area in Apache-Navajo Counties in AZ. It’s fired outdoors using juniper wood. Her gorgeous style of burnishing then adding a fine pine pitch coating is unique giving her pots their brown, red, black, orange and purple coloration.
