A Handsome American Revolutionary War Period Officer’s Saber With Brass Stirrup Hilt And Original Leather Scabbard Circa 1780. 26 and 3/8th inch unmarked blade with 20 inch single fuller. Richly patinated uncleaned brass hilt with single downswept quillion. Beak form integral pommel. Dark wood spirally fluted grip with lovely untouched hand worn patina. Original leather scabbard with characteristically plain chape and locket. 32 inches overall out of scabbard. A very attractive Rev War saber at an even more attractive price.
