Antique 1842 Jacquard Beiderwand Coverlet - Signed Andrew Kump Hanover, PA B360 For Sale

Agorgeous wool and cotton jacquard by Andrew Kump who is a well-known and collected historical weaver from York County, PA. It has a combination of flowers and stars in the elegant design. It has the expected seam in the center. The side edges are finished - no fringes. It was evidently made for an M.A. Sneeringer, a prominent family in Hanover, Adams and York County during the 1800s. It is reversible.

The condition is excellent. We find one small stain which is almost nothing on the dark side and a bit more noticeable on the light side- as pictured.
