Scarce late-19th-century advertising broadside for “The Gem Folding Table,” manufactured by the Stowell Manufacturing Company of Putney, Vermont. Measures 8.5 by 11".
The broadside illustrates the ingenious table in both its folded and open positions and promotes its many uses as a sewing table, game table, writing table, lapboard and picnic table. Marked “Patented March 10, 1885.”
A purple retailer stamp at the bottom appears to read:
