Antique 1898-1900 Brooklyn Grand Army Plaza Soldiers Sailors Arch Photo Reprint For Sale

Fast Friendly ServiceThis high-quality historic reprint captures a fascinating transitional moment in New York City history. The photograph showcases the Soldiers\' and Sailors\' Arch at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, New York, dating precisely between late 1898 and 1900.The image features two distinguished men on horseback wearing classic turn-of-the-century attire and bowler hats, riding across the cobblestone plaza. In the background stands the monumental arch, uniquely capturing a phase of its construction. While the bronze Quadriga sculpture (installed in 1898) is clearly visible crowning the top of the monument, the two large granite pedestals on the front pillars remain completely bare. This details the brief window before the famous \"Army\" and \"Navy\" bronze groups were permanently installed in 1901.High-Quality 8x10 Photo Reprint
