Some are only steel. Vintage or antique. This print block was found in a tray that had the \"Empire Type Foundry\" stamp on the back with a date from 1917. Some all-steel ones have \"W.N.U. Owner\" stamped on the back side, which is indication that it was used in the Western Newspaper Union business, likely in the first couple of decades of the 20th century (see last two pics, for reference only).
