Beautiful antique adjustable brass reading floor lamp, dating approximately from the 1920s–1940s. This handsome lamp features a slender telescoping stem, weighted round base, curved bridge arm and directional dome-shaped metal shade.
The height adjusts from approximately 39” to 48”, making it ideal beside a reading chair, sofa, desk or bedside. The shade can also be repositioned using the knurled adjustment joint to direct the light where needed.
The lamp retains its naturally aged brass finish with warm patina, oxidation, surface marks and finish variation consistent with its age. These imperfections give it wonderful authentic antique character. The shade shows minor marks and wear but no obvious major dents.
No maker’s mark has been located. The manufacturer and exact age are unknown. The electrical components work!
A distinctive piece of early task lighting that complements Art Deco, industrial, traditional, library and collected interiors.
