1920s Boudoir Doll Pin CushionThis is a gorgeous, authentic 1920s Art Deco boudoir doll pin cushion. This beautiful flapper-era collectible features a hand-painted half-doll torso (composition or chalkware) dressed in a muted purple velvet cloche hat that matches her plush velvet cushion body. A vibrant red ribbon bow provides a striking contrast around her neck. She also has a gold lamé ribbon around her shoulders.
She comes complete with a collection of vintage glass-head and metal sewing pins, embedded just as found from an estate. Her face captures the classic "boudoir doll" look of the 1920s with stylized heavy eyes, defined brows, and painted red lips with a sideways glance. Condition Report:
This item is in very good antique condition for its age. The hand-painted facial features are clear and bright with only minor paint wear/aging on the tip of the chin, nose and one eyebrow. The blue-grey velvet fabric remains intact with typical light dust and surface wear expected from a century-old textile. No major rips or structural damage.
