Antique 1930s Reissig Syracuse NY Ornate Gold Freestanding Pedestal Frame For Sale

Wonderful antique portrait featuring a gentleman photographed by Reissig of Syracuse, New York. The photograph measures approximately five by seven inches and appears to date from the late 1920s to the 1930s. The frame is especially striking, with an ornate gold-toned finish, dark accents, and a beautiful aged patina that adds a lot of character. It has a distinctive integral pedestal-style base, so it stands on its own, not a typical hinged easel back. The original patterned backing remains intact and includes a printed mat photo size template. A great period detail and a sign of its age.
