Antique 19thC Hand Hammered Bronze Planter Riveted Serpent Paw Feet Rare:
$149.99

Up for sale is a truly spectacular, collector-grade 19th-century (or earlier) European Continental hand-hammered bronze/brass cauldron vessel. This substantial antique piece showcases magnificent classical artisan craftsmanship, completely free of modern reproduction shortcuts.

Key Structural & Artisan Features:

8.5”x 6”

Seamless Single-Body Construction: Masterfully hand-raised out of a single sheet of metal with an entirely seamless body design. It features a beautifully balanced, lightweight profile without sacrificing any historic strength.

* Underbody: Features a prominent, hand-hammered dimpled texture throughout the underside, showcasing true early artisan mallet work and tool marks. A dark, historic oxidation layer is present on the base, showing authentic reddish/copper undertones where the aged surface patina has naturally rubbed or settled over time.

* Handles: Exceptional stylized serpent / classical dolphin double handles, heavily anchored to the upper rim via thick, authentic copper-alloy structural rivets with flattened interior heads.

* Base & Legs: Supported by three prominent, stylized tripod pedestal legs showcasing highly detailed, raised ornate palmette leaf motifs that flow down into distinctive ribbed paw feet.

* Body: Features a deep, wrap-around relief band of deeply embossed, raised ornate scrollwork and classical foliage.

Condition Details:

This antique vessel is in wonderful, untouched, unpolished condition. It boasts a spectacular, genuinely layered green-blue verdigris patina and natural oxidized mineral crusting inside and out from age and exposure. The piece is entirely structurally sound with no cracks, fractures, or splits. The seamless rim, rivets, and pedestal legs are completely rock-solid. Please evaluate the close-up photos closely to appreciate the stunning historical texture. Some surface wear or bottom of base exposing some bronze color from sitting on rubber pad.

A substantial, museum-quality statement piece perfect for upscale interior design, a luxury plant cachepot, or high-end mantel display. Sold as-is.
