Antique Ansonia enameled iron mantel clock in its original mahogany-grain finish, still in really good shape, with ornate gilt scroll ornaments and an open escapement you can watch tick at the center of the dial.
The porcelain dial is signed "Manufactured by Ansonia Clock Company, New York, United States of America" with Ansonia's diamond A trademark. The movement is signed Ansonia Clock Co., New York, with patent dates of June 14, 1881 and June 15, 1882.
The movement has been fully serviced by an experienced clock restorer. The clock runs and strikes the hours and half hours correctly. It has the original gilt bezel with convex glass and the hinged rear door, and it comes with its key and pendulum. See the video of it running and striking.
Condition: The original finish is in really good shape for a clock well over 100 years old. There are a few small chips along the top and side edges and light wear to the gilt. See the photos.
Dimensions: 10.5 in high x 13.5 in wide x 5.5 in deep.
Ships well packed, with the pendulum removed and the movement secured.
