Bought a bunch of slag glass from an old timer that acquired a bunch of the BALL glass factory’s slag out of Muncie, Indiana. He told me that they would clean out all of the accumulated glass from the floor of the furnace by using tools to chunk them apart. This is a nice piece of American history, and it would be perfect for anyone who collects antiques, has fish or aquatic pets for the aquarium, or even landscaping decor. Measurements are taken of its longest point and widest point. These pieces are very special. The iconic BALL blue-green coloration makes it some of the most sought after slag glass and is highly collectible. There are pockets of iridescence and glittery shimmers of pure bliss.
