Size- 8.25\" high x 4.75\" wide [side to side] and 3.5\" deep [front to back]

Extremely fine carving- details are incredible, small carved details and EXTREMELY lifelike representation

The expression on his face is fabulous

Outstanding piece of carved Art.

Features a musician/troubadour playing a guitar and singing a tune. These types of traveling musicians were common in the Black Forest area of Germany, and are depicted frequently in Art. They would have gone town to town and entertained guests, for example, at a tavern or Inn, for free lodging and food

Carved from a solid piece of linden wood [basswood] with lovely grain and striations.Wood has been gently polished to have a natural smooth finish.

These were produced for a very specific \'World Tourism\' market that flourished in the late Victorian/Edwardian era. I would be very confident dating this piece to the early 1920s or before.

VERY charming piece. One of a kind. Signed with what appears to be hand-written letter \'N\' on the underside.

Art Gallery/Museum quality. Highly collectible.

Excellent condition, no scratches, chips, nicks, or repair- pristine. Wood grain shows natural variations]. Carved by a Master Carver, highly collectible.

Acompletely uniquesculpture- would look great on a mantle piece etc, a very special gift for an Art collector

Please note the following, dear fellow shopping enthusiasts:

I strive to give you the best service possible. I am not a dealer or professional, just a lifelong collector and enthusiast. I only list items that I think are unique and of good quality. I represent my items as accurately and clearly as I can, and believe it is always better for you to have too much information than not enough! Please ask any questions before offerding, I will happily respond.

Remember, these are vintage items and will have reasonable signs of age and wear which only adds to their personality, appeal and \"funky vintage-ness\". They are not in their original boxes unless noted. I do not excessively clean items or remove age patina, as I want to leave that option for the buyer.

I will promptly ship your item within1 business day and post great positive response for you once payment is received.

Go Green! I try to re-use clean, almost-new shipping boxes when possible.

I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items for you.

Thank you for looking
