Antique Burlwood Tea Caddy with Wooden Knuckle Hinge and Fitted Inner Lid.
Beautiful antique burlwood tea caddy with balanced proportions and thoughtful craftsmanship throughout. The softly domed lid, finely molded edges, and shaped feet give this small box an elegant presence. An integral wooden knuckle hinge and fitted inner lid with a turned knob reflect the attention paid to even the smallest details.
The burlwood has a warm honey color and lovely character. Surface wear, small holes, and age cracks are visible in the photographs.
