They were made as a selection of CHAMPIONS LEGACY CLOCKS and dated “April 23RD 1878” size is 18 x 15 x 9 cm approximately Manufacturer Ansonia Clock & co USA has stamps to barrel at back and the porcelain clock face also has the initials JV or SV stamp to the braket stand
Material: Usually spelter or bronze metal for the figures in this style. Has a fold in bracket at the back for standing up and easy packing
Features: Often includes an ornate art nouveau base and a porcelain dial with Roman numerals. Age: Many Ansonia figural clocks date from the late 19th century. This clock has a barrel back with Pat April 28 d 1878
The barrel turns and makes the noise of a clock being wound up? But clock hands not moving? I don’t want to overwind it, never seen a barrel movement like this one before, don’t think it’s been re bronzed? Can’t see any signs of that, there are very small screws on the outside of the clock barrel I think if you take them out the face would become accessible maybe?
Also the barrel at the back housing the clock movements may come off also, I will leave that to the right person, markCondition is good and may just need a good clean for it to work it looks a little dirty on the porcelain face, please see photos as they form part of the condition report
